A bus driver is making a personal injury claim for compensation of up to £250,000 after he suffered a broken back while at the wheel of a vehicle.
According to the Norwich Evening News, Paul Herrington was driving a motor owned by Konectbus - which covers routes throughout the city - in February 2008 when his seat collapsed, thereby causing him to suffer a crush fracture to a vertebra and chronic lower back pain since the incident.
The news source stated that Mr Herrington's High Court writ against the company detailed the fact that he was leaving a park-and-ride site in the city when his chair fell through, which resulted in him falling backwards.
Konectbus has admitted liability for the accident - which has left Mr Herrington unable to work - but there is still a difference between the two parties' evaluations of how much compensation should be awarded.
The man added that he now feels constant pain in his legs, as well as his back.
