Engineering firm could be sued following workplace accident
A man's family may sue his employers after he died during a workplace accident at an engineering works in Sheffield recently (July 28th).
The employee, who has not been named, passed away while working at a Doncasters Precision Forgings factory in Sheffield on the morning of July 28th.
Details of the incident have not yet been revealed, but a joint investigation by South Yorkshire Police and the Health and Safety Executive is now underway.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital in order to receive treatment for his injuries, but was pronounced dead later in the day.
David Jennings, divisional managing director of the firm, told the BBC that the company - which is a global engineering business that provides components for organisations such as Boeing and Siemens - was devastated by the news".
He added that he and his staff would be doing everything within their power to establish what happened.
