A worker who suffered injuries in a fall has been awarded a payout of £450,000.
Michael Brand was removing moss from a warehouse roof in February 2004 in preparation for its partial replacement when he slipped and fell through a skylight, the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press reports.
He sued the owners and occupiers of the warehouse Roy Allen and BOCM Pauls - an animal feed manufacturer - which both denied liability.
However, a settlement between the parties was recently reached during a high court hearing.
As a result of the fall, Mr Brand suffered serious brain damage, a fractured pelvis, a cut to his liver and a punctured lung.
Five years on, he is still living in a rehabilitation unit.
As well as suffering changes to his personality, the 46-year-old will never be able to return to work and will be dependent on carers for the rest of his life.
