Investigation continues into E.coli outbreak
The investigation into a recent outbreak of E.coli is continuing after one woman died and three people were hospitalised.
Supermarket chain Morrisons has been linked to the incident, with cooked meat from its deli counters under suspicion.
The woman who died was 66-year-old Margaret Rowan from Paisley in Renfrewshire and her husband Stephen remains seriously ill in hospital.
Two women aged 71 and 72 also remain in hospital while four other people who tested positive for the bacteria are recovering at home.
All the victims are from the Paisley area of Scotland and a team is currently conducting an investigation to try and locate the source of the outbreak.
Shares in Morrisons have dropped by 7.5p to 258.5p after the chain was linked to the incident and the company released a statement to the Stock Exchange saying that it was "saddened" by the news of Ms Rowan's death, Reuters reports.
