In the wake of the Volkswagen emissions scandal Audi have now announced a list of their cars that are also affected.
It was known that the Audi A3 was named in the USA in relation to the VW emissions scandal in which ‘defeat devices’ were fitted to Beetle, Jetta, Golf and Passat models, however the following Audi models are also implicated:
Audi said 2.1 million of its cars worldwide were fitted with the software.
Some 1.42 million Audi vehicles with so-called EU5 engines are affected in Western Europe, with 577,000 in Germany, and almost 13,000 in the US.
