Slater and Gordon Lawyers raise money for The Bird House Fund
On Sunday the Slater and Gordon team volunteered for the Birdhouse Fund Charity at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival 2013 in Albert’s Square.
The Birdhouse fund participates in the Festival each year, championing the largest selection of home-made cakes to be seen in Manchester.
Charlotte Brinsley, Anna Rooney and Charlotte Egan of Slater and Gordon Lawyers all showed their support on the day helping to sell the various baked goods as well as baking an array of appetising cakes including millionaire shortbreads, scones and jam and carrot cake.
The Birdhouse Fund was set up by Manchester women for other local women who are struggling to achieve their full potential often because life has dealt them some nasty knocks. The Fund helps them to make a new start whether it’s through training, developing their skills or supporting them via community projects.
Charlotte Brinsley, Family Law Solicitor at Slater and Gordon who is also a committee member of the Birdhouse Fund said “the charity is all about bringing people together to raise funds to support women across Greater Manchester who need a step up in life. The money raised will make a massive difference and the charity is delighted with the efforts of the team at Slater and Gordon in volunteering their time to help”.
The Birdhouse Fund did a wonderful job and over £750 was made on the day for this worthy cause.
