Our Child Abuse Solicitors discuss arrest of TV Weatherman Fred Talbot
Greater Manchester Police have arrested TV Weatherman Fred Talbot in relation to claims of Sexual Abuse whilst he was a biology teacher at Altrincham Grammar School for boys during the 1970’s and 1980’s.
He was arrested in relation to three counts of indecent assault and four counts of inciting a child to commit acts of gross indecency. Mr Talbot has been bailed until 16 August pending further enquires.
The police have appealed for further information and are eager to trace anyone who attended the school between 1970’s and 1980’s who may have information to assist the police investigation. The BBC have reported that Detectives have said that information has been received that Mr Talbot taught at various schools in the Tyne and Wear area including Saltwell and Slatyford High School.
