Cruise Liner Compensation: Costa Concordia Disaster

By Principal Lawyer, Occupiers and Public Liability

It is with great sympathy to the families of the passengers killed in the Costa Concordia cruise line ship disaster that I write.

Many lives were lost and although the circumstances of the catastrophe are still not clear I am quite sure that extensive investigations will be carried out by the Italian authorities and cruise line accident investigators.

It is all too often in man-made disasters such as this that the psychological side of the catastrophic injuries are overlooked. My concern as a Lawyer with many years of experience dealing with catastrophic injury claims, is that many people will have been emotionally scarred by the disaster and will need help and support to some degree. In a terrifying accident such as the Costa Concordia cruise ship disaster, in particular, psychiatric wellbeing should not be forgotten.
