Get to know John
I graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in English literature before completing my graduate diploma in law and legal practice at the University of Law.
In 2012, I trained and qualified initially at a niche practice in Guildford and London, gaining valuable experience and client care skills that ordinarily would be assigned to more senior solicitors in larger practices. Building on that experience, I've spent the last 4 years working at two national city practices, gaining experience in high net worth matters, often involving international asset pools and jurisdictional disputes.
I've worked for senior executives in the city of London, senior police officers and director/owners of SMEs.
I'm highly experienced in all aspects of family law and practice in both financial and children spheres.
I specialise in preservation of retirement assets for the uniformed services and assisting police officers with complex contact disputes revolving around their complicated rostering.
The extra mile
I'm a practicing member of Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers committed to the constructive resolution of family law disputes.
I'm also a former committee member of Surrey Yres (Young Resolution).
Prior to my career in the legal profession, I was a keen sailor and an RYA instructor in windsurfing and dinghy sailing. In 2009/ 2010 in competed in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.
