Court of Protection
Jill Thomason-Stewart
Costs Lawyer
I love working in an area of law where we can make a real difference for our clients and their families.

Get to know Jill
I’ve been with Slater and Gordon since 2007 and joined the Court of Protection team in Manchester in 2009 as an accounts and billing assistant, before becoming a costs draftsperson.
I qualified as a costs lawyer in November 2018 having completed the Association of Costs Lawyers Training course.
I’m responsible for drafting all bills of costs relating to work undertaken in the department, for independent assessment by the Senior Courts Costs Office for both privately funded and legal aid funded work. I also provide training in the department for client-focused costs recovery.
