Get to know Helena
I studied law with criminology at the University of Manchester qualifying with first class honours. I then went on to study the legal practice course at the University of Law and attained a distinction. Before starting my training contract, I was a paralegal, and have 2 years’ experience as a paralegal in court of protection.
I'm open to experiencing all areas of law during my training contract, but I particularly like areas where I can work closely with clients to achieve resolution to their problems. My court of protection background exposed me to working with clients with complex needs and as such, I'm an efficient and clear communicator. I prioritise building a relationship of trust with my client’s so I can provide them with the best service.
Career highlights
My previous work experience as a paralegal allowed me to work on a large variety of cases, and a number of different clients.
I'm privileged to have worked with a number of vulnerable clients, and the most rewarding part of my job is seeing them progress and overcome the challenges life has given them. I value each client I have worked with, and being able to play a role in their recovery and provide support in times of difficulty is the most fulfilling part of my role.
