Emma Newman Chartered Legal Executive, Industrial Disease
Emma is a chartered legal executive in our industrial disease team at Slater and Gordon Lawyers in Manchester.
She has specialised in industrial disease claims for 6 years after completing a law conversion course and LPC with distinction.
Emma gained clinical negligence experience which included assistance with high value cerebral palsy and birth injury claims before moving up North and returning to her particular interest of industrial disease cases. She qualified as a chartered legal executive in 2015.
She currently represents claimants and families who have been affected by various asbestos related diseases including pleural thickening, asbestosis, mesothelioma and lung cancer.
Emma has experience in assisting a wide range of claimants from plumbers and electricians to school pupils and those exposed to asbestos environmentally and through their spouses’ work clothes. She has helped claimants access compensation via the Turner and Newall Trust Fund and the Diffuse Mesothelioma Payments schemes.
