£2 million for Acquired Brain Injury Victim after Road Traffic Accident
20 April 2015
Slater and Gordon Solicitor Joanne Berry secured £2 million compensation for her client who sustained a brain injury following a road traffic accident.
Joanne's client sustained multiple injuries including a significant head injury. Whilst Joanne's client made a good physical recovery, he was left with long term consequences of an acquired brain injury.
Joanne gathered expert evidence to detail the effects of her client's brain injury, which established he was unlikely to be able to complete paid employment and would need assistance with his finances in the future.
Joanne successfully secured the £2 million settlement for her client at a joint settlement meeting. The settlement was approved by the High Court meaning that the Court trial that had previously been listed was avoided.
Joanne is delighted for her client as the outcome means that he now has access to the support he needs for the rest of his life.
