Criminal Defence Solicitor Helps Police Federation Member Get 'Not Guilty' Verdict

23 July 2014

Our Police Federation client was initially charged with Perverting the Course of Justice, Misconduct in Public Office & 2 Data Protection offences.

After negotiations with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), Slater and Gordon Criminal Defence Solicitor Elizabeth Ribgy, persuaded the CPS to drop the Perverting the Course of Justice charge.

Our client pleaded guilty to the two data protection offences and after a 4 day Trial on the single count of Misconduct in Public Office, the jury returned a unanimous "not guilty" verdict in under 2 hours.
