Accountant under Investigation by ACCA Has Case Against Him Dropped
20 February 2014
We were recently instructed by an accountant in relation to an investigation brought by the ACCA.
A complaint had been made by his former employers that he had taken corporate information in order to build his case load at a new employer.
We represented our client in relation to that investigation showing that the information he used was available to the public. After the investigation the case worker determined that there was no case to answer and no further action was taken against our client.
It is easy for a complaint to be made to the ACCA and especially by disgruntled ex employers. The ACCA will have an obligation to investigate all complaints which can be a trying and stressful situation. Getting expert legal advice at the earliest possible occasion is key to a successful outcome.
