In this Public Liability case Personal Injury Solicitor Sally Gray successfully represented a woman who required Arthroscopy as a result of an accident that was not her fault.
Our client was in the car park at a Police Station having moved her car closer to the door. She was walking back along the paved footpath towards the side entrance to the station. At the time it was dark and badly lit.
As she walked along the paved footpath she lost her balance as a result of one of the paving stones having become raised and the height difference caused her to stumble as she stepped from this paving stone, causing her right knee to twist.
The Police Force admitted liability for the accident which caused pre-existing degenerative conditions in her knee to become symptomatic necessitating the need for an Arthroscopy.
Aggravation period was estimated to be 12-14 months and the settlement value was £4,700 compensation including a subrogated claim of £600 for Police Treatment Centres.
