Police Officer Injured in Car Accident Awarded Compensation & Special Damages
12 July 2012
In this car accident compensation case Personal Injury Solicitor Stephanie Ballantyne successfully represented a Police officer who was injured whilst on duty.
Our client was getting out of his police car with the intention of detaining the Defendant. Suddenly and without any warning the Defendant reversed his car backwards into the front of our client’s police car, causing the door to slam back and hit him in the face.
The Police officer sustained a laceration to his eyelid, together with bruising to his nose and cheek, and soft tissue injuries to his neck and back.
Stephanie was instructed to the case and her client opted to accept the Defendant's pre-medical compensation offer of £1,000 plus Special Damages of £7.40 for his car accident claim.
