Burn Injury Accident at Work Claim Settled by Personal Injury Solicitor
27 July 2012
In this work accident case, Personal Injury Solicitor Sara Heppenstall successfully represented a woman who suffered a burn injury to her hand.
On the day of the accident our client had just started work on the “plating up” section of the cafeteria at her workplace, a Morrisons supermarket. Our client was working near the egg grill.
Suddenly and without warning our client slipped on a patch of oil which was on the floor, causing her to lose balance and burn her hand on the egg grill. We understand the oil had been left by another colleague using the grills.
The female worker was not provided with any non-slip footwear and was wearing her own shoes.
Our client sustained a burn to her hand. Sara negotiated a work accident compensation settlement of £1,000 for her client.
