A 62 year-old healthy man went into hospital with chest and back pain. He was admitted into hospital and was diagnosed as having a stone. The following day he died.
The Hospital Trust admitted negligence in failing to diagnose his abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and failing to refer him for surgery urgently. Had this been carried out he would have survived.
Amy secured £70,000 in compensation for the deceased man's family.
