20 May 2012

Tom Nutter, a Senior Solicitor in the Wakefield Criminal & Misconduct department, successfully appealed against his client's conviction for assaulting a prisoner in his cell. The evidence against him came from 2 colleagues who stated that they witnessed the client kicking and punching the detainee whilst conducting a search. The officer has now returned to work after more than 2 years from his original suspension.
