Trevor Sterling's client receives £50,000 for accident at work claim

13 March 2012

My client tripped over a scaffold stub. Liability was admitted and he suffered a fractured (undisplaced) left hip. The orthopaedic expert concluded that he could find no organic explanation for on-going leg symptoms resulting in my client needing to walk with the aid of a stick. A Pain consultant was instructed and concluded that the pain resulted from a disturbance to my client's lumbar spine which had been accelerated by 4 years.

The Defendants indicated that they wished to obtain their own medical evidence, in the meantime unbeknown to us and inappropriately the defendant was adjudicated bankrupt.

We were able to successfully secure an offer in the sum of £50,000 and having secured an annulment of the bankruptcy the matter concluded.
