Negligent Delay in Diagnosing Hip Fracture

17 February 2011

Our client suffered with hip pain for some time and was placed on the NHS waiting list for a hip replacement. After considerable delays he eventually underwent a hip resurfacing operation. Our client was discharged and informed that his operation had been a success. However, he could not fully weight bear on his left leg and remained in constant pain.  The pain continued for some time so our client went to visit his GP. He was sent for x-rays. The radiologist missed a fracture at the top of his left leg. With help from RJW’s expert clinical negligence solicitors a settlement of £9,500 was agreed to compensate our client for the injuries he suffered.
