GBP22,000 Compensation for Steel Worker

29 November 2010

A man who worked in the steel works industry was injured when his right hand was trapped in some machinery.  His finger was amputated by the machine in the accident.  The defendant admitted liability, but argued that there was a degree of contributory negligence.  After discussions with our expert accident at work solicitors this allegation was dropped. The claim settled for £22,000 shortly after court proceedings were made.
