Trip at Work Results in Successful Compensation Claim
03 October 2010
Our client was walking through a building at work when she tripped and fell over a raised piece of flooring. She fell forwards, injuring her knee. She also hit her head on a nearby concrete pillar. The Defendant denied liability, disclosing photos of the lino, arguing that there was nothing to trip over. A colleague fortunately took photos of the lino immediately after the accident (before the raised lino was cut away by the defendants) which was then shown to the defendant. As a result of the accident, our client sustained ligament damage to her knee and also headaches. After the defendant admitted liability for the breach of health and safety regulations, she was awarded £3,600. With help from our expert accident at work solicitors, she also received her full loss of earnings.
