A woman underwent surgery to drain an abscess in August 2009. Following the surgery, all dressings were changed by nurses at our client’s home. She felt unwell for the days after surgery and in early September it was found that a dressing had been left behind after the surgery and remained in the wound. The dressing was removed via surgery. With help from our expert surgical error solicitors, our client was awarded £5,000 in compensation for the damages caused.
