Highways Officer Compensated for Degenerative Injuries Caused by Poor Health & Safety Regulations

19 October 2010

After many years service of work, a highways officer suffered from “tennis elbow”.  This was because he had to manually separate traffic cones that stuck together repeatedly due to a design fault.  Our client and other colleagues identified the problem with the cones, and worked out a solution to fix the problem.  Unfortunately, the employer never acted on the problem which meant that our client suffered from the injuries to his arms due to this health and safety issue. After a claim had been made by our expert accident at work solicitors, liability was disputed.  However after proceedings were commenced, damages of £5,000 were paid to compensate our client for the pain and suffering caused.
