Qualified overseas professional faces regulatory barrier to practise in the UK

02 September 2010

Our experienced regulatory solicitors acted for an overseas qualified professional who was seeking admission to the UK register for her profession. The client was unable to satisfy the regulatory body about her eligibility to be treated as holding a qualification equivalent to the recognised UK qualification. We advised the client on the legal requirements of the relevant legislation and helped her to raise her concerns with the regulatory body to obtain clarification about the decision and the process the regulatory body had followed.
