Ongoing representation for a legal sole-practitioner facing disciplinary proceedings
22 September 2010
During the disciplinary proceedings, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) sought to impose conditions on the lawyer’s practising certificate which, if applied, would have affected his ability to practise, resulting in the closure of his firm.
The expert professional discipline team successfully represented the lawyer, resulting in the recommendations of the SRA caseworker being rejected by the Adjudicator. In conclusion, the only requirements imposed were that the solicitor had to attend professional courses on client care and a Solicitors Accounts.
