Father's application for a specific issue order - immunzations
02 August 2010
This case concerned our client, the father of a 10 year old girl. He made an application to have his daughter immunized because she had not been given any immunizations since she was born due to lack of consent given by the mother. The mother had a phobia of needles and had concerns over the side effects. Both parties obtained their own independent expert witness reports supporting both sides of the argument. The decision was therefore left to the Court’s discretion. A contested hearing took place and we successfully argued that the child should be immunized. A specific issue order was made in the father’s favour.
