Large pot-hole in Trafalgar Square causes a cycling accident

18 April 2010

Our client was cycling in Trafalgar Square when his front tyre hit a large pot-hole causing him to fall off his bike instantly and sustaining injuries. The council had denied liability on the grounds that a maintenance and inspection policy was in place, however our expert cycling accident solicitors highlighted that even though a policy was in place, the standard of repair was inadequate as another member of the public was also involved in an accident a few days before. This clearly indicated that there was no way the ground could have deteriorated so swiftly if it had been repaired properly. RJW cycling accident solicitors settled this case, allowing our client to receive several thousand pounds in compensation.
