City client's Permanent Health Insurance benefits terminated
23 March 2010
We acted for a highly remunerated client in the City who suffered from a debilitating condition meaning they could not return to work at all. Our client was in receipt of substantial and valuable permanent health insurance benefits - which were abruptly stopped by the insurer who argued that our client had recovered from his condition and was therefore no longer entitled to any payments. We challenged this decision on behalf of our client and obtained an expert medical report about our client's condition which eventually resulted in the benefits being reinstated in full.
