Nurse accused of working for another company whilst on sickness leave
19 November 2009
We represented a nurse accused of working for another company during 3 days of sickness from his primary employment. The allegation against the nurse was based on examination of time sheets and payment claims. Client instructed that this was all a misunderstanding - the work concerned was "paper work" and did not involve physical attendance. Due to the nature of the work it was accepted practice that the dates shown on pay claims did not reflect the actual dates worked. The practice was explained to the investigators in police interview and the decision was made to take no further action.
