Julie Morris wins equal pay case for foreign national lawyer

Russell Jones & Walker's Julie Morris acted for a foreign national lawyer who, when given a pay rise by her employer, was told that her salary was a good one for someone from [her country].  Implicit in that comment were undertones of sex discrimination as well as race discrimination. As part of the proceedings we served questionnaires for equal pay, sex discrimination and race discrimination. The matter settled quickly thereafter.
