Harriet Bowtell secures equal pay victory for female director

Russell Jones & Walker's Harriet Bowtell acted for a director who argued that a male director was paid more than her. The employer claimed that the difference in pay was for legitimate reasons such as market forces, reputation in the industry and specialist skills and that the difference in pay was not based on gender. Through issuing a detailed equal pay questionnaire and negotiation we managed to secure our client a favourable settlement.
