15 September 2009
Our client, a steelworker, had suffered serious injuries after he fell into a pit of acid sustaining severe chemical burns to his legs. It was only due to the emergency surgery that his life was saved. Liability was admitted and a Health and Safety Executive prosecution led to the company being fined up to £125, 000 plus costs. Our client was left with permanent disfigurement to his legs and turned to Russell Jones and Walker for immediate help. After proceedings were commenced damages were agreed between £90, 000 - £100, 000 allowing our client to return to full time work.
