Client receives awards of £100, 000 after sustaining injuries at work
02 June 2008
In an accident that occurred at work, our claimant was a HGV driver who sustained a fractured tibia and fibula in his left leg when he fell whilst delivering scrap metal at the defendants scrap yard premises. The claim was brought on the basis that the workplace was unsafe and the defendants did not have any adequate method of inspection and cleaning. Although the defendants denied liability and argued that the system they had employed was adequate and safe, damages were agreed in the sum of £100,000, which represented the severity of our clients injuries.
