I’m driven by a commitment to justice for claimants, ensuring their voices are heard and their experiences in clinical negligence cases lead to accountability, answers, and meaningful redress.
Get to know Owen
I have been with Slater & Gordon Lawyers since September 2025. I am a Litigation Executive with over 6 years’ experience dealing with claims in Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Industrial Disease.
I now specialise primarily in Clinical Negligence on behalf of Claimant’s. I have worked on High Court cases, including high-profile matters involving children and minors.
Owen was exceptionally kind and patient, explaining the points of Law as we progressed my claim. There were some slight complications at the end of the claim which I found frustrating. Owen explained the process to me, thanked me for my patience , and we managed a successful solution.
Client testimonial (for Owen Lake)
Spoke with Owen, went through the accident with him, he quickly decided that time was against us, came back to me to confirm they will take the case on and acted very quickly so the 3-year timeframe wouldn’t pass. Always kept in contact when needed, shared his advice when I asked and generally can’t say a bad word about Owen.

Career highlights
Throughout my career, I have dealt with several high-profile cases securing seven-figure settlements along with lifelong access to treatment, support and care.
One case that stands out involved a 6-month-old baby who tragically died in a road traffic accident, alongside 12 secondary victims. We secured a settlement for both the baby and the wider family, providing them with a platform to have their voices heard and laying a foundation for the family to obtain justice, accountability, and a sense of closure following such a devastating loss.
I have recently quoted and appeared on the BBC for a case involving a minor who has received negligent care from University Hospitals Bristol and Weston. This case is ongoing and we continue to support the family and others who may have been impacted by the failures in care.
The extra mile
I have previously volunteered for Headway (Brain Injury Charity), organising monthly events for survivors to come together, share their stories, and build a supportive community that fosters understanding, confidence, and rehabilitation after life‑changing injuries.
