Munia Mahreen Solicitor, Clinical Negligence
Munia is an clinical negligence solicitor at Slater and Gordon Lawyers in Manchester.
She represents clients and their families in variety of clinical negligence claims arising from injury and death following negligent medical treatment. Her caseload ranges from medical misdiagnosis to amputation, delayed diagnosis of cancer, nerve injury, birth injury and neonatal death cases. She has also worked closely with principal lawyers assisting on cases with injuries of maximum severity.
She has previously worked at Lexis Nexis as a research associate, volunteered with the CAB and Women’s aid and worked as a Legal Advisor. She was praised for her extensive legal knowledge and excellent client care skills. As part of her role she also helped victims of criminal injuries obtain compensation through the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) by handling their claims.
Munia then joined the Family department at Slater and Gordon as a Paralegal where she handled her own caseload of divorce and dissolution of partnership files. She also undertook pro-bono work by providing Family Law advice at the pro-bono legal advice clinic at the Manchester courts. Munia completed her Training Contract at Slater & Gordon gaining experience in Employment Law, Wills Trusts Tax and Probate Law before specialising in Clinical Negligence.
She is a member of the Manchester Young Solicitors Group and the Junior Lawyers Division of the Law Society.
