Get to know Lorraine
I have extensive experience as a personal injury and clinical negligence specialist Solicitor since qualifying in 1996 and have worked at Slater & Gordon in Cardiff since 1998. Prior to transferring to the Clinical Negligence team in 2018, I was responsible for establishing and running a number of teams within the Personal Injury department, whilst managing my own personal injury caseload.
I now deal with a wide range of clinical negligence cases, both serious injury claims and complex lower value cases and manage a wonderful team dealing with lower value clinical negligence claims in our Cardiff office.
I have a longstanding and successful affiliation with a number of Trade Union clients and was instrumental in establishing a dedicated team within the Clinical Negligence department which understands and caters for the specific requirements of our Trade Union partners.
I am known for bringing positivity, energy, and efficiency to the clinical negligence team in Cardiff and I continue to drive the Department forward with a combination of legal skill and competence whilst embracing the implementation of the system-based technology which is imperative in any progressive clinical negligence team.
I sincerely want to thank Slater and Gordon for helping me conclude a 6 year battle with a negligence case. This week, finally, I got closure thanks to my wonderful solicitor who was always there to support me with the ups and downs. I can now move on with my life - I thank you and your team.

I recently abseiled from the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth in support of the Royal Navy and Royal Marine’s Charity, which was definitely outside my comfort zone but I am so glad that I did it!
I am actively involved in supporting our Union clients in providing advice to Members, attending conferences and liaising with Union Representatives.
