Personal Injury

Jayne Campbell

Associate Solicitor

The most rewarding part of my job is helping clients and their families access the support they need to get back on track after they have been through often life changing events through no fault of their own.

Get to know Jayne

I have been practicing personal injury law since 1999 and joined the Birmingham office of Slater and Gordon (then Russell Jones & Walker) in 2004.

I am an associate solicitor and team leader in the serious personal injury department specialising in claims involving brain injury, spinal injury and serious orthopaedic injuries including those involving amputation. I travel throughout the Midlands to see my clients who have invariably had their lives turned upside down. I seek early rehabilitation treatment and financial support and fight to achieve the best possible outcome for my clients.

Career highlights

Every successful claim and client helped is a career highlight.

However, as a trainee solicitor, I worked on a successful House of Lords appeal in the case of Barclays Bank Plc v Harris [2001] 4 All ER 449. This was a conjoined appeal in which the Law Society intervened because one of the key issues was the importance of independent legal advice. Witnessing the law lords in action at such an early stage in my legal career was quite awe inspiring.

I’ve been regularly recognised in the independent Legal 500 guide as a

“Recommended Lawyer” (Legal 500 2017, 2018 & 2019) and “Key Lawyer” (Legal 500 2020, 2021).

I’m accredited as a specialist solicitor by Headway, the brain injury association.

The extra mile

I live and work in Birmingham and have a strong commitment to my local community.

I am a member of Birmingham Law Society and APIL.

I am on the legal panel for the multi-trauma signposting project based at a local NHS trauma centre. I am a trustee for Headway Birmingham and Solihull and a keen supporter of RoadPeace West Midlands. I work with a number of other charities and membership organisations including the SIA, BRAKE, Silverlining, the Limbless Association and the Police Federation.
