Andrew Allan

Solicitor

I am an Employment Solicitor in our Manchester Office. I am part of a team specialising in helping both individuals and businesses.

Get to know Andrew

I studied History and Politics, before undertaking a law conversion and an accompanying Masters. I joined Slater and Gordon in October 2021, initially as a paralegal in the Industrial Disease department, before beginning my training contract, moving across a few departments before qualifying in to the Employment Department in 2025.

Career highlights

  • I obtained settlement for an individual who had been discriminated against on the grounds of Trade Union activities, as well as by reason of his disability. I obtained a very favourable five-figure settlement, and ensured that they were well protected moving forward.
  • I assisted a business with a former employee who had failed to honour their contract, and was actively causing issues for my Client. We reached a positive resolution, without the need for any litigation proceedings.
  • I worked on a high profile gender discrimination case involving a non-binary individual, which escalated to the Employment Appeal Tribunal.
  • I have regular and frequent experience with Settlement Agreements, including positive outcomes and obtaining good results for both individuals and businesses.

The extra mile

I am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA), and am a regular fundraiser for Heel & Toe Charity and Mesothelioma UK. I have also worked with Epilepsy Action.
