Man seriously injured in motorcycle collision secures six-figure settlement

The man, whose partner was expecting their first child at the time of the incident, was thrown from his motorcycle and went over the bonnet of the car and struck a nearby vehicle, sustaining significant injuries including fractures to his upper and lower right leg. The lower limb injury was described as “devastating” and “limb threatening”.

Other injuries included a spinal fracture and punctured lung. He has been forced to undergo numerous rounds of surgery.

As well as being an expectant father, the man was keen on sports of all kinds, and regularly took part in football, kickboxing, swimming and running.

As a result of his injuries, he has not been able to work or take part in sports or domestic activities, including gardening and DIY. Devastatingly, he has not been able to play the role he hoped as a new father.

Due to the nature of his spinal injury and lower limb problems, he will continue to be disadvantaged in looking for a job.
