CPotential extends partnership with Slater and Gordon

A charity which supports young people with movement disorders is able to continue to develop its life-changing service through the extension of a partnership with a national law firm

27 May 2026

For over 60 years, CPotential has worked with babies, children and teenagers who live with conditions including Cerebral Palsy and acquired brain injury. Families travel from across the UK to its centre in Muswell Hill, North London to access a wide range of integrated therapies.

Today, CPotential works with over 450 children annually, with its multidisciplinary team delivering 5,500 therapy sessions.

For several years, its work has been supported by Slater and Gordon, which has sponsored its Family Support Manager position, as well as the charity’s Early Intervention Pathway. The law firm also delivers free education sessions and legal sessions to CPotential’s team, families and wider community, to ensure they are supported in every way possible.

Now, the partnership is being renewed, which will see support continue for CPotential’s work, as well as enabling its staff and families to understand legal rights in specialist areas of law including clinical negligence, education, employment, family and serious injury.

Johanna Vigilante, director of partnerships & communications at CPotential, says: “We’re incredibly grateful to renew our partnership with Slater and Gordon. Their support enables CPotential families to access expert specialist advice and year-round consultations, while also helping us deliver key events and projects, and build meaningful connections with individuals, companies, and charities for collaborative support.”

Emma Doughty, head of clinical negligence at Slater and Gordon, says: “For decades, CPotential has delivered life-changing support and therapies to young people and their families, enabling them to thrive in their lives and make progress they may otherwise not have achieved. The work the team do is truly remarkable, and hundreds of babies and young children benefit every year.

“We are really pleased to be able to continue to support the work of CPotential, and to work together to empower the families they work with in every way we can.”
