Slater and Gordon Awarded Top Ranking in Legal 500

Slater and Gordon Awarded Top Ranking in Legal 500

Lawyers at Slater and Gordon have been recognised for their work to achieve the best outcomes for clients in this year’s Legal 500.

The firm, which has offices across the country, was the only one in the north west to be awarded tier one ranking for clinical negligence and was described as the region’s ‘most efficient and professional’ team.

It was also one of only two to achieve the top spot for personal injury, with the company’s Cambridge office also earning a place in tier one.

In the north west, general law achieved the highest ranking for its family team which has a ‘well-regarded children team’ and ‘regularly advises on large and complex family law cases.’

‘Brilliant’ employment lawyers in the north west were recognised for their work with employees and unions, while London’s employment team, which acts for employees, unions and senior executives, was also awarded tier one.

Legal 500 is an independent legal directory which researches and ranks law firms annually based on a set criteria, including cases, feedback from clients and industry colleagues.

Judges said Slater and Gordon had ‘a national presence, but has retained its local feel’ and ‘takes on the difficult cases and provides a wonderful service.’

UK CEO, Ken Fowlie, said he was delighted with the company’s strong performance.

Across the country, the firm achieved a top tier spot in a total of seven practice areas and was recommended in a further 35. An impressive 17 lawyers made it on to the ‘leading individuals’ list, a guide to those who provide a consistently outstanding service.

More than 30 of the 84 lawyers recommended are also based in the north west, which now boasts Slater and Gordon’s flagship office which opened last year on Mosley Street in Manchester.

Mr Fowlie added: “I am delighted by our performance in this year’s Legal 500, which is testament to the many talented and dedicated individuals we have working within our team.

“Without them, we would not be able to deliver the outcomes that we do and it is great to see that work recognised by the judges, our peers and our clients who are at the heart of everything we do. “
