Slater and Gordon has recently recruited two new solicitors for its employment law practice in Cardiff.
New recruits David Sheppard, who joins from Clarkslegal LLP and Claire Tait, who previously worked at Thompsons Solicitors, join the team of 12 experts based in Landore Court, Charles Street. While the team in Cardiff has a reputation for acting for union and Police Federation members, David will be managing the team who act for private individuals, which Claire is also joining.
Together they have more than a decade of experience in employment law, including disciplinary hearings, workplace discrimination, breaches of contract, non-payment of holiday pay, TUPE, unfair dismissal and redundancy consultation.
David said: “I’m delighted to be joining Slater and Gordon which has a strong reputation as a leading provider of employment law advice and representation to employees and executives in Wales and the wider region.”
Claire Tait added: “Cardiff is a dynamic area and undergoing huge growth, so it is great to be at the centre of that and working with individuals to ensure their rights are upheld.”
Claire Dawson, head of employment law at Slater and Gordon, said: “I’m delighted that we are bringing such experienced and well-respected lawyers into our Cardiff office to join the excellent team we already have in place. They both reflect our values of going the extra mile for our clients and our commitment to the area.”
