Serious road injury could lead to compensation claim
High level compensation may be sought after a road traffic accident left a man in a serious condition.
A 43-year-old man was taken to hospital with abdominal injuries after colliding with a silver Ford KA in Parkway, Chelmsford, the Essex County Standard reports.
Police are looking for witnesses for the incident, which occurred around 03:00 BST on Sunday July 9th.
Although the driver of the vehicle was unharmed, the pedestrian was treated at Broomfield Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.
As a result of the incident, a section of the road was closed for around four hours, enabling officials to survey the scene and carry out all the necessary investigations.
The unnamed man hurt in the collision is 43 years old and may wish to pursue a compensation claim - due to the serious stomach injuries he sustained in the crash - if it is found he was not to blame for the incident.
