Russell Brand has revealed he feels content after filing for divorce from Katy Perry last year.
The British comedian and his American pop star partner announced their separation in December 2011, just 14 months after tying the knot, but Brand has moved to dismiss speculation he feels low after the couple took the decision to split up.
The 36-year-old - who is also a Hollywood actor famous for roles in films such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall - told People magazine in an interview he is back on track.
"I'm well. You don't need to brush it off if you don't get it on you in the first place ... I don't have to let anything go. I don't hold on to anything negative," he explained.
Recently, Brand has reportedly started dating Hungarian model Nikolett Barabas - while chart-topper Perry is apparently seeing French model Baptiste Giabiconi - and the comic insisted he is not bitter about the divorce.
"You can't let go of something you don't hold, you know," he added.
