A man who sustained life-changing injuries during a road traffic accident is set to receive substantial compensation for his ordeal.
According to the Bristol Evening Post, Toby Phethean-Hubble was struck by a car as he rode his bicycle outside the Whitchurch leisure centre in Bristol in November 2005 at the age of 16.
Consequently, he suffered a severe head injury and is now forced to spend the majority of his time in a wheelchair and also struggles to talk properly.
Mr Phethean-Hubble's parents subsequently took legal action against the driver of the car involved - who was 17-years-old and had only passed his test eight days before the collision - and it has now been ruled Mr Phethean-Hubble is eligible for compensation.
Shani Phethean-Hubble, the man's mother, told the news source: "He just feels like he is in prison because his body doesn't do what he wants it to do anymore."
