Significant personal injury compensation has been awarded to a man who sustained brain damage during a road traffic accident.
According to Get Hampshire, Marc Dallaway suffered life-changing injuries when he was involved in a collision in Fleet in May 2006 and his family subsequently took legal action in order to claim damages on his behalf.
Mr Dallaway - who was 19-years-old at the time of the crash - was a front seat passenger in a car being driven by a friend who lost control, hit another vehicle and then overturned.
He will consequently require 24-hour care for the rest of his life and the driver's insurers have now agreed to grant him a lump sum of compensation and annual index-linked instalments that are believed to run into seven figures.
In a statement, Mr Dallaway's mother and grandfather commented: "We are relieved that the case has concluded and that Marc is now in a position to fund the support that he will need."
