Peter Andre accepts libel damages from Katie Price
Peter Andre has accepted an undisclosed sum of compensation on the grounds of libel from ex-wife Katie Price.
The TV personality took legal action against his former spouse after she made claims he had an extra-marital affair with his manager Claire Powell while they were together and also did not truly care for her disabled son Harvey.
Price - who met Andre when they appeared as contestants on ITV's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2003 - made these allegations while appearing as a guest on the Graham Norton Show in 2009.
However, a case at the High Court in London has resulted in the former glamour model retracting her statement and apologising, while also agreeing to pay Andre damages.
Australian singer Andre will also have part of his legal costs paid for by Price and has committed to place the compensation money in a trust fund for Harvey.
